NSFC General Program Grant Awarded for Research on Enteric Neuro-Immune Interactions

We are delighted to announce that our research group has secured a General Program grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). This project centers on a newly characterized subpopulation of muscularis macrophages with microglia-like properties. These cells regulate enteric motor neuron plasticity and physiological activity, serving as an essential molecular bridge connecting intestinal inflammation to disrupted gastrointestinal motility.
